What is September out-of-the-money bull-put ?

I bought shares of JBL & I want to know what does this mean ....

A "put" is a type of option contract. A put option on JBL gives the buyer the right, but not the obligation, to sell 100 shares of JBL to a person that sold (wrote) the put option for a fixed price (called the strike price) any time prior to a fixed expiration date.

A put option is "out-of-the-money" when the strike price is less than current market price of the stock.

September is a month in which currently traded JBL options expire. Expiration occurs on the Saturday following the third Friday of the month.

A spread is a combination of two or more offsetting positions, usually where one is bought and another is sold.

A credit spread is a spread where you are paid money (a credit) at the time you open the spread,

A bull-put spread is a spread where you sell (a) put option(s) with a higher strike price and buy an equal number of put option with a lower strike price. This type of spread limits both the maximum profit possible and the maximum loss possible. The maximum profit possible is the credit amount you receive at the time at the time you open the position. The maximum loss possible is (the difference between the two strike prices times 100 times the number of contracts) less (the credit you received at the time you opened the spread)

An example.of "a September out-of-the-money bull-put credit spread below the 10 range" would be to sell three put contracts with a strike price of $10 and buy three put contracts with a strike price of $7.50. Ignoring commissions,

the three September $10 put contracts would be sold for about $0.40 per share, or $120,

the three September $7.50 put contracts would be bought for about $0.15 per share, or $45,

the total credit received for opening the spread, and maximum profit possible, would be $120 - $45 = $75

the maximum loss possible would be (($10.00-$7.50) x 100 x 3) - $75 = $675.
