Can I pay my Saudi credit card bills in another country eg: Kuwait, Bahrain?
I am currently holding a credit card which I have obtained in Saudi Arabia but it will be some time before I will be back there. Currently I am in Kuwait and I need to make some payment before the15th nov. can I make the payments in any bank or by any other means, because my bank account in Saudi Arabia to which the credit card is linked is having insufficient balance to pay this bill. Its a Saudi British Bank visa credit card.

Counterparty credit risk has become the key element of financial risk management, highlighted by the bankruptcy of the investment bank Lehman Brothers and failure of other high profile institutions such as Bear Sterns, AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The sudden realisation of extensive counterparty risks has severely compromised the health of global financial markets. Counterparty risk is now a key problem for all financial institutions.This book explains the emergence of counterparty risk during the recent credit crisis. The quantification of firm-wide credit exposure for trading desks and businesses is discussed alongside risk mitigation methods such as netting and collateral management (margining) and central counterparties. Banks and other financial institutions have been recently developing their capabilities for pricing counterparty risk and these elements are considered in detail via a characterisation of credit value adjustment (CVA). The implications of an institution valuing their own default via debt value adjustment (DVA) and funding costs (FVA) are also considered at length. I recieved a notice from a collections agency today called the "Affidavit of Counsel to Domesticate Foreign Judgement" and an "exemplified copy of the Judgement" from a collections company today.
Basically it's a copy of a judgement I didn't know I had filed against me in another state in January of 2005. It appears as though they are filing it with the court in the county/state I currently reside in. It doesn't state what they want or why they are sending it to me other than that it's an "attempt to collect a debt".
Would they be filing it with the court in my current county/state in hopes of getting another judgement? Is it a scare tactic? Both??
It's apparently collections from a credit card that I never knew existed (my ex had plenty of them in my name, that's why he's my ex) so if it is an attempt to gain another judgement, is there any way to dispute it at this point??
They are moving the existing judgment from the other state (foreign) to the state you now live in. They will then be able to use the judgment where you now live to garnish wages, attach bank accounts, and lien personal property.
There are collection agencies now that specialize in buying up old judgments and going after folks to collect. It's not a scare tactic. They are seriously taking legal action to collect on the existing judgment. Your best bet would be to try and work out a settlement. You may even be able to negotiate settlement for less than the full balance. Lump sum gets the best deals. Be sure the fill out the paperwork to file with the court showing the judgment has been satisfied.

What Merchant Credit Card Processing Services Do I Need To Accept Payments Online?
I'm starting an internet business and will need to accept credit card payments. Should I use something like paypal or should I just get my own merchant account and payment gateway? From my initial testing, my sales look very promising and I'm expecting a lot of business.
Hi. I had the same decision to make when I was starting my online business so I know what problems you are facing.
At first I used paypal, but then my sales were increasing very quickly and I knew I needed to switch to a merchant account/payment gateway setup to handle the larger volume.
I came across this website, http://www.electronictransferservice.com and they really helped me learn a lot. There's plenty of information on their pages and I discovered so much about how all this works with processing credit cards. Their FAQ section is definitely worth a look.
I'm not recommending you sign up with them in anyway, but I did contact them and was able to get all my questions about merchant credit card processing answered from a real live person. That was pretty cool.
I eventually went with a different company, but at least I was armed with much more knowledge than when I first started.
I'm thankful to say that my business and sales have been doing well and making the switch was, to me, a good choice. You'll have to determine for yourself if and when you will make the switch.
One thing though, if your volume of sales is not enough to cover the costs of processing fees, then I would go with paypal and just wait till it does.
