What is a safe and free way to get a credit report?
I have only encountered sites such as creditreport.com that force you to give them a credit card # to complete the report. Then you are automatically enrolled in some garbage. If you don't cancel within 30 days, you'll be charged outrageous amounts monthly.
Does anyone know a way to get a 100% free & simple credit report? Without having to sign my life away?
AnnualCreditReport.com is the site mandated by the FTC to allow online access to your free annual credit report from each of the three credit bureaus. It is the only site that doesn't require you to sign up for monitoring services. The reports are free; scores are not.

Hi. I am going to use my credit card to purchase overseas, such as paying hotel, shopping and paying dinners in retaurants. Acutually I am not so clear about all potential fees charged by the card providers, such as commission fee per transaction, currecy exchanging commission fee and so on. Also, I am wondering which conversion rate the provider bases on to exchange money, their own rate or a rate shared by all banks? Thanks.
Credit card companies charge a foreign usage loading which typically is 2.75% of the value of each transaction. The only exceptions are Nationwide BS, The Post Office and Abbey on their Zero Credit Card.
The exchange rate charged will vary each day and from bank to bank. It will also vary depending on which country you are in and their currency.

I found the paper fairly straight-forward but some parts were extremely hard. I thought that because radio waves diffract more than T.V waves, the radio receives a better signal. I answered almost all of the questions apart from the one about the technician setting up the second kettle as I really couldn't understand it. But as it was only 3 out of like 49 or 50, I am not too worried. I hope to get a strong grade 2 for both elements and I would be very happy if that happened.
Interestingly I found the first question easy about the car and the sound waves because that was worded quite well and I found the last question easy about the light spectrum. What did you think?

Any examples or templates for a letter of explanation for multiple inquiries on my credit?
We are applying for a FHA loan to purchase our first home and our mortgage officer suggested that we write the letter for possible lenders. We have good credit and only one inquiry is not related to trying to purchase a home.
Just how many inquiries do you have? I don't understand why you would need such a letter unless you have some ridiculous number of inquiries. Multiple inquiries by mortgage lenders within a short time are suppose to be viewed as one. It should be obvious that your are mortgage shopping, not actually taking out several mortgages.
Don't bother with form letters. Just use your own words. Be simple and concise. Basically just say that the __ inquires are the result of you shopping for a mortgage. It doesn't need to be fancy or contain any special legal sounding words.
